Applicant Status for Accreditation (MSCHE)

String Theory School of Design is a Candidate institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE or the Commission)  www.msche.org. String Theory School of Design’s accreditation status is Candidate Status Granted. The Commission’s most recent action on the institution’s accreditation status on March 12, 2026 was to acknowledge receipt of the candidate assessment report. To grant Candidate for Accreditation status and invite the institution to initiate its first self-study in preparation for an evaluation visit in 2027-2028 under the Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation (Fourteenth Edition and Evidence Expectations by Standard). MSCHE is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation (candidate status) activities for institutions of higher education including distance, correspondence education, and direct assessment programs offered at those institutions. The Commission’s geographic area of accrediting activities is throughout the United States.

Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE)

On September 26, 2023, the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) granted the String Theory School of Design the authority to operate as an academic degree-granting institution in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This approval authorizes the institution to confer the Associate of Arts degree in Innovation, Design, Arts, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (IDeATE).
