Applicant Status for Accreditation (MSCHE)
String Theory School of Design is currently engaged in the process for determining its readiness for candidate for accreditation status with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) to conduct accreditation and preaccreditation (candidacy status) activities for institutions of higher education, including distance education, correspondence education programs, and direct assessment programs offered at those institutions. The Commission’s geographic area of accrediting activities in throughout the United States. MSCHE accepts complaints and third-party comments for institutions engaged in the application and candidacy process. Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE)
On September 26, 2023, the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) granted the String Theory School of Design the authority to operate as an academic degree-granting institution in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This approval authorizes the institution to confer the Associate of Arts degree in Innovation, Design, Arts, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (IDeATE).
