The String Theory School of Design’s mission is to catalyze creative endeavors through design, technology, and entrepreneurship. Learners engage leading edge creative fields, actively study design thinking processes, and deliberately practice domain-specific techniques. Marketable skills, developed in an environment prioritizing outrageous support, enable student application of authentic creative skills to communicate innovations through multi-faceted storytelling.

Leadership

President of String Theory School of Design

Dr. Jason Corosanite

Dr. Jason Corosanite is the Co-founder of String Theory Schools, a Philadelphia- based education design/management corporation. He holds an Educational Leadership Degree in Charter School Leadership from Central Michigan University and has been honored as an Apple Distinguished Educator. Dr. Corosanite speaks nationally on the integration of educational technology and is the founder of a Particle, a new type of collaboration space designed to support entrepreneurial initiatives through invention, entrepreneurship, and storytelling

Vice President of Academic Affairs

Dani Shylit

Dani Shylit is an academic leader with over 25 years of experience advancing innovation, research-informed practice, and empathy across public K–12, independent, non-profit, and higher education settings. As Vice President of Academic Affairs at String Theory School of Design, she has led the design and implementation of the IDeATE Associate of Arts program in Innovation, Design, Arts, Technology, and Entrepreneurship and also leads the LIGHT Leadership Residency, a post-baccalaureate principal preparation program rooted in Design Thinking. 

Dani Shylit holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Music from Connecticut College and a Master of Arts in Critical and Creative Thinking from the University of Massachusetts. She is currently a doctoral candidate (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership at Arcadia University. Through her roles as principal, academic head of school, curriculum innovator, and leadership coach, she has consistently championed mission-driven education that has prioritized integrity, human dignity, and joyful learning. Dani Shylit brings both scholarly insight and practical expertise to her work, ensuring that institutional strategies promote student engagement, retention, persistence, completion, and success for all students.

Dean of College

Dr. Thomas Mosca

Dr. Thomas Mosca is an educational leader and advocate for innovative learning models that bridge mathematics, design, and equity. He holds an EdD in Educational Leadership from Drexel University, a Master’s in Teaching and Learning (Mathematics), and multiple Pennsylvania certifications, including K–12 Principal and Wilson Reading certification. Dr. Mosca serves as co-author and Dean of College for the newly approved College of Design at String Theory Schools, where he shapes academic programming and course design for the IDeATE associate degree. Since 2018, he has also served as Director of Teaching and Learning across four String Theory campuses, overseeing academic innovation, teacher certification programs, curriculum design, and competency-based learning initiatives.

His work includes partnerships with Drexel, Temple, Arcadia, and Relay Graduate School of Education to build teacher pipelines through the String Theory Academic Residency (STAR) program, as well as collaborations with ISTE and Apple Education to showcase technology-integrated, design-infused learning environments. Beyond String Theory, Dr. Mosca has served as adjunct professor at Temple University, instructional coach across Philadelphia schools, and Assistant Director for LaFiya Family Services. He combines expertise in mathematics, educational leadership, and program design to drive systemic change and create innovative K–12 learning experiences that prepare students for higher education and creative industries.

Applicant Status for Accreditation

String Theory School of Design is a Candidate institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE or the Commission)  www.msche.org. String Theory School of Design’s accreditation status is Candidate Status Granted. The Commission’s most recent action on the institution’s accreditation status on March 12, 2026 was to acknowledge receipt of the candidate assessment report. To grant Candidate for Accreditation status and invite the institution to initiate its first self-study in preparation for an evaluation visit in 2027-2028 under the Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation (Fourteenth Edition and Evidence Expectations by Standard). MSCHE is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation (candidate status) activities for institutions of higher education including distance, correspondence education, and direct assessment programs offered at those institutions. The Commission’s geographic area of accrediting activities is throughout the United States.
